Dexpanthenol

Vitamin B5 deficiency can cause problems such as impaired skin barrier and mucosal inflammation. Dexpanthenol, as the dextrorotatory isomer of pantothenic acid, is a vitamin API and the precursor of coenzyme A. After entering the human body, it can be rapidly converted into pantothenic acid and participate in the metabolic processes of carbohydrates, proteins and fats. Meanwhile, it has the effects of promoting epithelial cell growth, accelerating wound healing, moisturizing and anti-inflammation. It is widely used in the production of topical skin preparations, ophthalmic drugs and oral nutritional supplements in clinical practice, and can also be used as a functional raw material in the fields of medical cosmetology and skin care, and formula foods for special medical purposes. The applicable population covers people with impaired skin barrier, patients with xerophthalmia, and people needing nutritional supplementation due to vitamin B5 deficiency.
