Bisphenol A

As an important organic chemical raw material, bisphenol A is a phenol acetone derivative produced through condensation reaction. It is the core monomer for the production of polycarbonate, epoxy resin, thermal paper and other materials, with downstream applications covering food packaging, medical devices, electronic and electrical appliances, building materials and many other fields. In medical scenarios, polycarbonate derived from bisphenol A is widely used in the manufacture of consumables such as infusion containers, surgical device shells, and medical protective face shields due to its excellent light transmittance, impact resistance and temperature resistance, and is an indispensable basic chemical raw material in the upstream of the medical supply chain.

The global bisphenol A market size has exceeded USD 23 billion in 2023, and the compound annual growth rate from 2024 to 2030 is expected to remain around 4.8%. The demand increment mainly comes from new energy, high-end medical devices and electronic packaging fields.
