Novel Material Intermediate

Advanced material intermediates are core inputs for technological breakthroughs and scaled manufacturing in strategic emerging industries including semiconductors, new energy, and biopharmaceuticals. Unlike commodity chemicals, advanced material intermediates demand exceptional structural precision, batch-to-batch purity consistency, and tight impurity profile control. Trace metal contamination in photoresist intermediates, regioisomeric impurities in organic photovoltaic materials, or moisture content deviations in perovskite precursors can each have decisive consequences for end-device performance. Reliable intermediates supply therefore requires not only sophisticated synthetic capability, but also a comprehensive analytical characterization infrastructure.

The portfolio spans photoresist functional intermediates for advanced-node semiconductor lithography, polyimide intermediates for high-performance films, flexible displays, and aerospace applications, donor and acceptor functional molecules for organic photovoltaics, perovskite solar cell precursors and interfacial layer materials, organic emitting intermediates for OLED devices, key pharmaceutical intermediates at critical nodes in API synthesis routes, and biosafety-grade inactivating agents for vaccine manufacturing including β-propiolactone. Scales range from milligram research samples to hundred-ton industrial batches, covering every stage from laboratory materials exploration to commercial production delivery.

CATO's advanced materials team, with core members from Sun Yat-sen University and Southern University of Science and Technology, operates on proprietary technology platforms including SuFEx catalysis, cryogenic synthesis down to -200°C, and chiral resolution and asymmetric synthesis, supported by two large-scale production facilities in Zhuhai and Ganzhou. The current portfolio exceeds 3,000 products and continues to expand, with custom development available by target structure, purity specification, and delivery scale.
